How often should men get a haircut?
Short answer? We’ll probably tell you every week — but realistically, most men get a haircut every 4–8 weeks, with 4–6 weeks being the most commonly recommended timeframe for keeping your haircut looking clean and well-shaped.
If you’re rocking a fade, bald fade, or taper fade, regular maintenance matters. Fades tend to lose their sharpness faster, so getting a haircut every 2 weeks is ideal if you want to maintain a fresh, faded look all the time. This is especially true for bald fades and skin fades, where clean lines and smooth blends make all the difference. A full breakdown of this can be found within our Education hub.

what is the differnece between a taper and a fade?
The main difference between a taper and a fade is how much of the head is blended down to shorter lengths.
A taper haircut (commonly referred to as a blowout) is not a fade around the entire head. Instead, a taper focuses on gradually shortening the hair in specific areas only—typically the sideburns, the temple area, and the nape of the neck. At the back of the head, the taper is faded out below the occipital bone (the bone that slightly protrudes at the back of your head), while the rest of the hair maintains more length and weight.
A fade haircut, on the other hand, is blended all the way around the head. Fades transition from very short (or skin) into longer lengths and can be worn as a low fade, mid fade, high fade, bald fade, or skinfade. The goal of a fade is a seamless, uniform blend that wraps completely around the head. A full breakdown of this can be found within our Education hub.
